Workshops
Python for AI - intensive training for Social Impact Founders
Workshop
Freitag, 15.11.2024 / 10:00 - 16:00 Uhr / appliedAI Institute for Europe gGmbH
Impact start-ups aim to have a positive influence on society. Whether it's the climate crisis, educational equality, inclusion or the use of digital solutions in the healthcare sector, founders of impact start-ups develop solutions to these challenges and bring about lasting positive change in society. With this intensive three-day training program, we want to give founders and future founders in the field of social impact a comprehensive introduction to the technical implementation of AI systems. Over three days, participants will learn how to clean, transform and visualise data using Python. In the second part of the training, participants will learn how to train basic machine learning algorithms using Python. Through the training, we want to give founders the technical tools to initiate their own AI projects in the social impact sector. The training is funded as part of the Social Impact Republic project by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Who is the event adressing? The training is aimed at people interested in technology who want to found a social impact startup in the future or are in the early development phase of a social impact startup. We particularly invite people who already have concrete ideas for the realisation of their social impact startup and would like to develop initial prototypes of their AI systems. What prior knowledge is required for the event? You should have a rough understanding of the basic concepts of AI systems (e.g. training, inference, modelling), some programming experience (not necessarily in Python) and already have an idea or a team for a social impact startup. What are the intended learning objectives of the course? After the course you should be able to ... ... clean, transform and analyse data in order to use it in an ML project ... identify tasks that can be solved with machine learning ... solve basic machine learning tasks with Python (regression, clustering and PCA, deep learning)
Info: The event will take part every day (13.11.-15.11.24) from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
